    Description

    A finely engraved Shepheard & Co sterling silver calling card case with “French ivory” celluloid note plaque on the inside. Also has supposedly original calling card on opposite side. A handsome ladies’ accessory from a bygone era. Date mark for 1909 (“c” in modified rectangle cartouche) and lion rampant silver standard (.925) stamped to both sides of interior rim.
    Condition: Very good antique condition. Engraving is sharp and pronounced. Latch closure and hinges fully functional. Slight depressions to the metal and light scratching as seen in photos.
    Measurements: 2 5/8” x 1 7/8”
